Welcome to KAIKOA Gallery
KAIKOA is more than an art gallery—it’s a place where creativity, culture, and community meet. Our space showcases a dynamic mix of local Hawaiian artists and internationally recognized names, offering collectors and visitors alike a chance to experience art that inspires and transforms.
From bold contemporary pieces to timeless fine art, every work in our collection is hand-selected to reflect both the vibrant spirit of Hawaiʻi and the global art world.
Where Creativity Bursts Beyond the Frame
KAIKOA Gallery was born from a powerful purpose: to support artists whose lives and livelihoods were devastated by the 2023 Lahaina fires From that deeply personal beginning, KAIKOA has evolved in just two years into a nationally recognized force within the contemporary art landscape. The gallery has been named BEST Art Gallery in Hawaii and recognized among the Top 20 Art Galleries in America by the American Art Awards—an extraordinary trajectory for a gallery founded on the belief that art can not only endure adversity but transform it.
Now, KAIKOA Gallery enters our next chapter.
Our new Ala Moana Center location represents a bold expansion of that vision: a sophisticated, dynamic environment where collectors, art enthusiasts and curious visitors can encounter art on an entirely different scale. Rather than simply presenting art on walls, KAIKOA creates an environment in which art, artist and audience intersect. The gallery’s expansive collection brings together provocative, vibrant and captivating works from both established and emerging artists, spanning an array of artistic disciplines, aesthetics and cultural perspectives At the center of the experience are the artists themselves.
KAIKOA’s open artist ateliers invite visitors behind the finished canvas and into the creative process, offering an uncommon opportunity to witness artists at work and experience the energy, experimentation and spontaneity that define contemporary creation.
the gallery will also offer private event space, creating a distinctive setting for collectors, cultural gatherings, celebrations, and curated experiences.
Meet the Visionaries: Our Founders
Robert and Carmelita Andia, co-founders of KAIKOA Gallery, built the gallery with a shared vision: to create a vibrant center for contemporary art in Honolulu. Robert’s artistic background paired with Carmelita’s business expertise has shaped Kaikoa into a gallery that not only curates world-class collections, but also serves as a launchpad for Hawaiʻi’s next generation of artists.
